We are currently seeking a motivated and detail?oriented professional to join our team as a Member Benefits Services Analyst in our Omaha, NE office.
Position Overview
The Member Benefits Services Analyst supports the administration and servicing of member life, health, and employee benefits programs. This role is responsible for tracking and analyzing data, preparing internal and client?facing reports, assisting with proposals and renewals, and contributing to the sales and cross?selling of benefit plans. The Analyst works closely with clients, carriers, and internal partners to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high?quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Track, analyze, and prepare internal and carrier reports, including monthly reports, ancillary reports, loss ratios, commission data, and annual meeting comparison materials
- Collect, compile, and format data for client requests, internal reporting, and annual meeting presentations
- Support new and renewal business by analyzing current plans, RFPs, proposals, and quotations
- Review spreadsheet comparisons, presentation materials, and benefit summaries
- Assist in the renewal process by securing pricing, reviewing proposals, validating comparative data, and presenting proposals to clients
- Conduct final accuracy reviews on new and renewal policies, brochures, certificates, and related documents
- Monitor and calculate commissions; coordinate with the Finance Department; and prepare annual premium/commission estimates
- Update and distribute pharmacy rebate information and Buying Alliance savings
- Generate and distribute consulting invoices on monthly or quarterly schedules
- Participate in developing benefit strategies for renewals, including major plan changes
- Assist in resolving coverage issues and participate in vendor selection discussions
- Attend client and carrier meetings, stewardship meetings, and sales presentations
- Support the solicitation of new business and maintain strong client relationships
- Build and maintain productive relationships with carriers in service, underwriting, and claims functions
- Stay informed on industry trends, benefit legislation, and market practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3–5 years of business or financial experience
- Working knowledge of group benefits across multiple product lines (self?funded health, dental, life, accident)
- CEBS or REBC designation and/or Accident and Health license preferred
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and writing skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent customer service and client?relationship skills
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate benefit solutions
- Familiarity with carrier products and underwriting guidelines
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and time?management abilities
